Being a resident of the South for quite a while, I was excited when I heard that Threadgills was supposed to offer great down-home southern cooking. However, I've eaten there twice, and each time, the food was bland and flavorless. The vegetables are all either over cooked or under cooked, with not seasoning or flavoring on them. The fried catfish (a staple of southern cooking), tasted like it was coated in wonderbread and then fried.\r

The desserts are pretty good, and it is a fun place to catch a show (the drinks are pricey though!)
Pros: Good desserts, fun place to watch live music
Cons: Horrible food.
