Cake: I ordered a birthday cake here for its fame in Austin Chronicle Restaurant Poll. The cake was recommended by the staff at Sweetish Hill and was very rich and sweet but doesn't quite live up to its ""#2 bakery in Austin"" name. None of my guests liked it, which was saddening. The cake was $40 and $16 of it was charged for decoration. I felt pushed into spending the extra $16, but was quite disappointed when I got the cake because the decoration was simple and not artistic. HEB could have done a better job for cheaper. On the other hand, I did receive the cake 3 hours earlier than the original pickup time, so maybe the decoration was rushed.
Pros: Cute bakery in the downtown area, satisfy your sweet tooth once in awhile
Cons: Parking, Special-Occasion Cakes, Inconsistent service
