I took a loan out to have a driveway and a brick wall raised to 6ft and stuccoed to match the house. I paid Sandia Vista Construction ""Guss Mendez"" $10,000.00 to do the work. He did the work and the driveway was going to the house when water was on it. He took it out and repored a new one and it was still wrong. Water started to damage the wall of my house and in the kitchen. We called him back several times before he would answer the phone. He finaly removed the concrete driveway then ditch us. He would not even answer his phone at all. We had to call him from the neighbors house so he would answer. When he finaly pick up he said it would be another $800.00 to poor a new driveway the corect way. The existing wall was 8"" block he added 6"" blocks and did not stucco the wall, he used fiber base coat only then painted over it. There is still no stucco on the wall he would not fix that at all. I had a detaled contract with him. The wall had no cement in the places it needed to be. The pilasters were not capped and were filled with my own landscaping rocks. I had to take him to court and I won $9238.00 of my money back. He appealed it to district court and I won that law suit also. He still has not paid me and I have had to shell out the money to fix all of the things he did wrong. There are not enough characters left to tell you the rest of what happend to us because of his dishonesty. He will cut more corner then a scrapbooker. When he pays me my money I will write to all of you that he finaly made thing right. It is not fair I paid him so much money to work on my house then I had to fix everything he did wrong. I am out alot more then $10,000.00. My husband is the only one who works and I stay home to take care of our kids one of my kids is speacial needs. His company is listed as BONDED AND INS. If thats true why has he not paid me and he is still working everyday! Teresa Rio Rancho
