I brought in a property description of a 4.1 acre piece of land at 3995 Schoharie in Cairo, NY that I was considering buying, and putting 2 houses on, to make sure that CableVision, and Internet were available. I was provided a map with that address designated on it, and assured that MidHudson Cablevision was available. I have since bought the property, and had a house built. I then went to MidHudson Cable for installation connection as I had a company install underground cable, and was told I had to pay $16,000.00 !!! Yes, SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! I'm disabled, and do most work at home, on the internet, and in 6 day's I won't even have a phone, not to mention internet, and cable! I will have to spend $199.00 for satellite Internet, Huge cost's and ""commitment"" 's for satellite TV, and The ridiculous cost's of a land line. I have been a good customer for many years, and did NOT expect this kind of treatment, especially after giving me the designated map assuring me that I would have Cable & Internet. I would truly love to hear from someone in Corporate to address this gross misrepresentation, which has cost me greatly. Thank you, Terry L Hocking
