I went to TMAH this summer for a 2nd opinion concerning a golden with suspicious moles/growths. I questioned Montrose. They wanted to remove and biopsy all 4 of them since they "looked suspicious" and charge me 1400.\r
The next day at TMAH they said they wouldn't put a dog through this procedure since his lymph nodes were so huge (the cancer had already spread) and that the moles were an extremely aggressive type of cancer. They said removing them would be purely for cosmetic reasons only- it wouldn?t do anything to deter the problem. They gave me medication to help him keep his quality of life (appetite and ability to move around) but said he had about 2 weeks. They were absolutely correct. Not only did TMAH forgo an unnecessary procedure, the item by item charges for routine procedures are less expensive than Montrose. By the way, Montrose was going help me out by letting me do a payment plan for the biopsies but charge me a 25% fee for this "help" ? RIDICULOUS! I have moved
