Although I was a regular customer at the Mill Valley Maxwell the Cleaner since they opened, my recent experience was unacceptable. I have attempted to sort out the difficulties with the "manager" who is at another location, but this person has been hostile and unprofessional in the extreme. I had a very inexpensive, child's item dry cleaned and the price on it when I went to pick it up was exhorbitant - over $70 for something that originally cost less than $35. Nothing special - no fancy material or leather or pleats or anything of that nature. I have spent almost 6 months trying to work out a mutually acceptable solution with no luck and a very unpleasant experience with that manager. The cost for dry cleaning this item is not listed at all on their rate sheet so the charge was a total surprise. Obviously I would not have cleaned the item there if I had known I would be charged twice what it was worth. BEWARE! If you have a problem, do not expect any professional response from
