Let me start off by saying that I'm not at all new to the bar scene in Utah. And I'm only 25 so I'm also not the old demented guy sitting at the bar. My friends and I frequent a club/bar about 3-4 times a month. So now you know a little bit about me. My friends had been wanting to check out Sandy Station for some time, and last weekend we finally decided to give it a shot. The parking lot was packed when we got there (typically a good indication of how the evening would go) and we were all very excited to see what the excitement was all about. By the time we got through security (which entails everything but a full cavity search), our spirits were a bit dampened thanks to the witch of a door girl they have up in there (come to find out she's new...should have kept the old one if you ask me...couldn't be any worse). Once we got inside the disappointment continued. The place was packed with all the people that get turned away from the downtown clubs, not very exciting after all. Watered down beer, bartenders seemed to be more concerned with their after-hours plans than mixing a decent drink, and the waitresses were less than competent. And the most convincing argument to NOT go back was the manager. He is the epitome of slime. After our half-hearted welcoming to the club, he began hitting on some of the girls in our group (who all laughed at has attempts). Then he went over and was hitting on one of the few attractive ladies in the house (besides the ones we brought with us of course) and she had the "Someone PLEASE come and same me" look in her eyes. I went over and asked her to dance and she thanked me for rescuing her. She said that he hits on her every time she comes to Sandy Station and she can't stand it. Needless to say, she won't be going back either. At least not until they get rid of ALL of their employees and start over! Stay away from Sandy Station!!!
Pros: I made a new friend (1 of the 2 attractive ladies that night)
Cons: Just about everything...I won't go back!
