Overtures is the best byo - incidentally, La Viola is also very good - but man, from appetizer to entree, dessert, ambiance, price and service, this is one of my two favorite restaurants (the other is Vetri) in Philadelphia (including the likes of Le Bec Fin, Lacroix, and Fountain).\r

I usually do the fixed menu but sometimes replace them here and there - among appetizers, their sweetbread is highly recommended if you like that stuff (not too impressed by the crab whiskey soup; the mushroom pastry was okay). For entrees, the veal and the lamb chop are EXCELLENT... and dessert - and I'm not usually a huge dessert person - their strawberry rhubarb pie, available in summer and early fall months, is to die for. Their apple tarte is also very, very good. Romantic, roomy, and excellent food and service - I was very happily surprised to find this gem of an establishment.\r

Pros: Great food, very friendly service
Cons: Really.. honestly.. none. If I really have to nitpick, might be considered a little dark, maybe?
