I had the owrst ever experience in customerservice with BURSAW Gas & Oil. I was sighned up to do winter heating oil purchase from them through MASS Energy. On 1/7/08 I contacted them to report a heating issue with one of the zones in our house. They sent a technician. When he arrived I explained the situation under which I lost the zone. basically I replaced the thermostats and must have done some wiring ""mess"". I took him up and used my screw driver opened the thermostat I installed and showed what I think the problem could be. He said, ""I am not sure what to do, you need to contact an electrician"". Further he volunteered to give two electrician names. Basically, only thing he did was giving two of his ""buddys"" (electricians) name. matter of fact he learned few things he never knew about the thermostat instalation from me when I shared all what I did during the process.\r

Well, in 2 days I got a statement in the mail for $89.00. I called the BURSAW Gas and Oil office at 8:30am on 1/11/08 and explained to one of the woman who answered the phone. She said, hmmm I will transfer you to the service department they will answer your question. No one was there so she said I will have some one return the call. \r

Until 3:30PM I did not get any call, so I called back and asked for the same woman. She said "" I left a message to a person (gave the name) and he is out in the field and he will have to get back to you. I was not sure if he is teh right person because he was the technician who came to my house. I asked, ""is there a manager who I can talk"". She said, ""no you need to talk to the person who I left the message(have the name). I ask does this business have a manager, owner or antything of that nature. She said that the owner DOES NOT answer these questions. Then I said, let me talk to MASS Energy. Immediately she said let me see if the owner (gave the name) theer. Then she came back and said he is on the phone and I am out of luck. What a terrible experience.
Cons: terrible people to work with. no concept of customer service and COMMON SENSE
