The service department is geared towards making expensive repairs. Back in 2000, Rick Salinas charged me $1000 to replace an A/C fan clutch. Well the A/C gradually got worse and would not cool just 1 week later. The fan clutch was not the problem. It was the compressor. They didn't guarantee their diagnosis, only parts and labor. So the 2nd diagnosis was another $1000 to replace the compressor. Recently, in 2008, they suggested replacing all 4 fuel injectors rather than just trying to replace the o-rings. Why not try to replace the $2 part before the $140 part? Why not see if your $2 solution will work?
Pros: Super friendly
Cons: Diagnosis suggests most expensive possiblity
