I've driven between portland and hood river a million times, not realizing there is a restaurant tucked in right behind the vista house..if you have been to the columbia gorge hotel or multnomah falls, those are nice...but there is something new to the area you should try. Great food and service, nicer view (you're up high). Only a 3 minute drive off of 1-84...easy to stop off if you like to hike the gorge...I like the brunch- corned beef hash, delicous- eggs benedict with tiny scallops. Best brunch I've had in a really long time- even the hot chocolate is terrific here.
Pros: brunch menu is awesome
