Okay, so it isn't the most macho thing for a guy to have a great experience at the salon, but with my wedding upcoming, I decided it's time for someone other than Phil down at the local shop to cut my hair. I will be a regular customer at this place, however. Everyone was very friendly and unpretentious. A bit of scalp and neck massage, a great haircut, hair washed twice (so you don't get hair all down the back of your neck), and a hot towel on your face. Hell, who wouldn't enjoy that? If you dig comfort and can stand the ribbing that you might take at the office, gym, barracks or whatever, you should check this place out. I once paid $75 for a haircut in DC, for which I received a cup of tea, and a ""haircut"" by a snobby, heroin-chic stylist that looked like she used garden shears. Here I got a haircut that was exactly what I wanted and all the extras mentioned above for half that.
