do not go to betsy robinson's. my sister purchased a dress here. when her first fitting came up, a month or two before her wedding, the dress was 3 inches too short -- EVEN THOUGH she payed 250 for a special hallow to hem measurement. so we go for a second fitting to find out that the new dress that they supposively ordered was about 2 inches too short 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING. the dress was made out of one piece of french lace so it was a big deal to add to it. betsy said that they could add the 2 inches to the border. my sister had no choice but to agree. my mother called priscilla of boston in tysons corner because it carries my sisters dress. the girl there said she would have offered at least a 50% discount. they were very nice and helpful. so a week before the wedding we go to see the dress. when we got there we were placed in one of the back dressing rooms where girls just try on samples. they brought out the dress with the new border sewed on to the bottom. the border did not look so bad, but it still wasnt the same. it was very noticable that it didnt belong. my sister asked betsy how she was going to compinsate for ruining her dress. betsy preceeded to say that she wouldnt knock any money off and that the dress was completely fine. a direct quote from betsy, ""the dress is even more custom"". i couldnt believe my ears. we had to talk her into not charging my sister for the hallow to hem measurement. she also said that she wouldnt charge her for the extra lace that was added to the dress. she constantly kept rolling her eyes at us. eventually she brought her husband out to talk to us. he was giving us the same answers. he was very disrespectful putting his hands in our faces and even went to grab my arm. a grown man has no place doing that to young women. we ended up just leaving paying full price for a ruined couture dress. betsy robinson is a very very VERY unprofessional business woman and i hope karma comes back to get her.
