We happened upon this place by accident - had heard of it but weren't planning to go - on an off night (Wednesday). First and foremost, the service was great. Not snobbish while not fake as happens all too often. I always feel uncomfortable when the wait staff kisses up. Our waiter was very down-to-earth and knowledgeable. The wine list appeared to have a number of reasonably-priced wines - we found something very nice without having to splurge. Our salad and entrees were wonderful - great attention to detail and all flavors worked remarkably well together. For the record, we had the butter lettuce salad, roasted butternut squash agnolotti and the stuffed trout (onion, mushroom and bacon), and were treated with a free taste of the fries with paprika and aioli, which were outstanding as well. All in all, this is probably the overall best restaurant experince we've had in some time, and I'm frankly surprised that I'm saying that as we've had a lot of great experiences (and some not so great!).
