My friend and I visited Asheville from out of town and we had planned to do a long bike ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Called Liberty Bikes ahead of time to ask if they had any rentals available and they said it would be no problem. So we get all the way there and there are no bikes to be rented. They don't take reservations apparently, so I guess it's understandable. However, the whole staff was sort of rude and disinterested... which really annoyed us. It was like all the grumpy people in Asheville were rounded up and offered jobs at Liberty Bikes. Very weird. The ski shop on the other side of town was much friendlier and accomodating.
