We contracted the service to provide one day per week assistance in caring for an elderly family member. They were to provide basic hygiene care and respite care for the family member serving as the primary caregiver. We were very pleased with our initial meeting with Denise and excited about the service. The assigned caregiver had only been with the company for 2 months, which made us a little nervous about her training, but she seemed nice so we were willing to give it a try. The first week was fine. The second week we needed some extra care and an additional visit but I could only get voice mail when I contacted the office and when they finally returned my call several hours later the problem was resolved. I called the office number on other days with questions but again could only get voice mail and it still took hours for someone to call me back. Third week we got a call 2 hours before the caregiver was scheduled to show informing us that they had a personal emergency and no other caregivers were available. They did not offer to come the next day or even try to schedule another appointment to provide the agreed upon weekly care for our family member. The 4th week we received a poorly written letter full of grammatical errors that stated HomeWatch would no longer be able to provide us with service. This was written by the office manager and arrived the day before caregiver was scheduled to provide service for that week. They did not even bother to call and give us time to make other arrangements but again left the family without a caregiver at the last possible moment. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
Pros: Owner seemed nice
Cons: Staff was unreliable and unprofessional. Did not answer the office phone or show for scheduled appointments.
