First, I love the ambiance here. It is perfect for romance or laid-back hanging out with friends. As for the food, certain things are not so good, but some are FABULOUS! The fried chicken is perfectly friend and is a good sized portion. If you are there during softshell crab season their fried softshell special is AMAZING (and this is coming from someone from a Southern crabbing family) and HUGE. The shrimp and grits is excellent for the gravy and grits - the shrimp could be bigger and there could be more shrimp, but the gravy+grits make up for it! \r

All this being said...do NOT get the chicken etouffee. It is mostly rice and they don't give you much etouffee at ALL. The service is so-so (our cornbread was brought when we were almost done; no one ever came to take a drink order), but if you order the good food I wrote about it will be worth it!!!!
