My wife and I are foodies - commonly visiting many restaurants. On the basis of your recommendation we went here. The ambiance is quite nice but that is where it ends. We ordered wine, salad and entree. The wine was not served until after the salad course was over- almost as an after-thought. This was surprising since the restaurant was over 1/2 empty at the time. The salads were bland and relatively tasteless - not at all living up to the glorious descriptions in the menu. I would have to say it was as if the entire kitchen staff had lost their passion for food. We had both ordered the special entree for the evening - gorgonzola encrusted pork chop with rib served on a bed of mashed sweet potato with smoky gouda and a honey mustard reduction glaze. Well when served the pork was seared but without any seasoning and no evidence of gorgonzola. the Sweet potatoes were actually quite good. When we asked - we were told the gorgonzola was scraped off so it would not burn - B*** -it never was there. The waitress brought a small dish of gorgonzola, grape puree to the table. Well the original description had said nothing about grapes and the lack of simple salt and pepper with extremely tough pork chops still failed to bring this even remotely to an acceptable entree. Finally we ordered coffee and a chocolate fudge cake with fresh berries. Well the cake was fresh from the freezer - and no fresh berries in sight but a rasberry reduction sauce on the plate. The coffee was weak but at least hot enough to warm the cold cake.
