I went to Rumba with my wife and two friends on Saturday night. As we were seated, I was accosted by the hostess and told to remove my ball cap. I would have been fine with that, but the way I was told was completely inappropriate. I kindly asked why and she went on to explain that they allow no billed caps or sports apparel. I asked if i needed a jacket and tie. Next, we were seated in the bar, where we were told was the smoking section, upon further review..... the actual bar is the only smoiking section, only 3 feet away. We were told that we would have to go to the bar to smoke. I bit my tongue. As we ordered and our meal came, there were numerous people standing next to me smoking and blowing smoke on me, I was appauled that because I asked for a table I could not smoke. As I finished my meal, I turned and notice a woman standing next to me, smoking or course and wearing a Mississippi State Volleyball T-shirt. What happened to this so called dress code. The food was sub-par at best and was not all brought out at once. The servers are dressed in less than you would find walking around in the local gentlemen's club and customers cannot wear hats? Go figure. This was the most miserable dining experience I have had in a long time. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never grace this establishment with my presence again. For those looking for McDonald's quality food served in an extravagant asian type display with attitude from the staff you would find in 5-star restaurants in New York, I would recommend you waste your time and money and eat at Rumba.
Cons: Service, Food, Quality, Price, Attitude from employees
