My son purchased a diamond from the owner of this establishment last year. After having the stone independently appraised, he found that it was worth less than 35% of the price that he paid even though he was given a "certified" appraisal. After reporting the company to the Jewelry Vigilance Committee, the owners claimed that he had been given the "wrong" diamond and that they wanted to clear up the matter. He asked for a refund of 80% of his money but the owner refused to refund anything. Instead he gave him another EGL certified diamond that has proven to be worth less than 60% of the price he paid. The owner was smart enough to put a very short time limit on his "offer" that would not allow enough time to compare the EGL certification with a GIA certification, thus proving the real value of the diamond beyond subjectivity. So if you want to pay too much for your jewelry, then this is the place to shop! There are many good sites on the internet to educate yourself about how to buy a diamond. The only way to combat these type of merchants is through education. Don't learn your lesson the hard way like my son did!
