Cutting Corners on food 8/31/2007

Tuscany appears to be cutting corners as evidenced by the wilted brown salad, dirty glasses and flies. Fine dining and flies do not mix and neither did the flavors of the food. Lunch was costly but for fine food we are willing to pay. Unfortunately, the several billboards around the valley touting Tuscany as an unforgettable experience are true. I will never forget the brown, slimy, wilted salad and the stale brushetta appetizers which tasted day old. Main courses were tastless and the pasta with wine reduction was acidic and biting. The Venetian beef red wine sauce was tart and was not complimented by the Gorganzola Polenta. The most disturbing part of the meal were the several flies which enjoyed our bread and appetizers more than we did. Fine dining is an art and Tuscany is still using crayons. The food was bad, the service was slow and inattentive. The vegetables tasted old including the tomatos which are in season. My house salad was the worst resembling something from a fast food dive. Owner Mark Eaton was a defensive specialist on the court, but his food was offensive and scored no points. His ads are correct unforgettable and very regrettable. Pros: Nice location Cons: bad food more
