My husband took my minivan for an oil change in New Castle, DE. He can walk to Oil Change Express from his work. I work in Philadelphia and my husband picks our children up from daycare. He was told to pick his car up before 5pm from his oil change. The store closed at 3pm due to a power outage and locked our minivan in the building. My husband walked over at 4:15 from work to pick up the car and pick up our children. The store was closed minivan with carseats locked inside. He was stranded with no vehicle and no way to pick up our children as I was not getting home till 8pm that night and children have to be picked up by 5:30. I could not believe our $30 oil change turned into a major crisis. Someone should have stayed till all cars were picked up or customers verbally said it was ok to keep their car overnight. I could not believe a business would close without verbally speaking with customers (they left a message at our home, they knew he was going to work) or waiting till cars were picked up. Don't go to a business that keeps its customers stranded overnight. We had to find someone to pick up my husband, pick up our children (remember carseats were in the car locked in the shop!) and a way for my husband to get to work the next morning without either of us missing time from work! I am so mad everyone will hear about this incident!
