Hi, I am Joy Ridgway and am continuing the Ridgway saga of July 4th that Tricia started in the previous review. Let me say that my husband and I have been patronizing this restaurant for 15 years and had good experiences in the past. On one visit I accidentally left my camera there and they were nice enough to mail it back to me in Palm Desert so I did not have to make the 2 hour trip to retrieve it. Now back to the story...the owner walks over and I politely say ""Sir, someone in your kitchen is shedding hair"" as the owner cut me off before I could explain what had happened, he replied ""No one in my kitchen has hair and if a hair happened to be on top of your breakfast your server would have seen it since she has worked here several years and is extremely observant"". Although the waitress was so sweet and sympathetic, that still did not change the fact that she did not notice the 3"" black curly hair or the hockey puck egg yokes she placed before me. We told the owner that we had lost our appetite and wanted to end our 2 hour ordeal. He then implied in a very condescending tone that perhaps we were responsible for the hairs in both the drink and breakfast (like we were some kind of scam artist) and that he was not comping all of it. We had not even asked for anything at that time. Long story short, we paid for the hairless mimosas served to us and walked out wondering ""did this just happen?"". My review on the food. I don't know, I never got a bite.
Pros: Location and ambience outside
Cons: The owner needs a vacation.
