I recently returned to Grappa after being a non-believer for the last couple of years. I had an experience not unlike some of the other reviewer's and just stayed away. Some friends of mine last winter wanted to dine there and I agreed against my better judgement. Well the experience was a complete 180 degrees from the last one! The food was terrific, the staff friendly and effeicient and the manager even stopped by our table several times to make sure everything was right.\r

I recently dined there on the patio and let me tell you I have not had a better ambiance or experience in my 20+ years of dining out. The server told us the chef was new and the food was proof that a young, excited chef is behind the wheel now. The osso bucco fell off the bone and was so full of flavor! The salads are huge and the portions on all the entrees are equally large and full of value. The scallops dish was equally delightful.\r

The kids choices are limited but our server, on the last visit, made several suggestions that fit right on with our children even though they were not on the menu. Again, the staff, excellent!\r

A tip: In the summer the local newspapers carry coupons for Grappa (and the other stores in thier group) offering great discounts!
Pros: Ambience, value, service, food
Cons: expensive, no kids menu, parking
