About a year ago I went into New York Lace and was greeted by Stephanie who was exceptonally helpful and assisted me in picking out a gorgeous wedding dress. But this is where the charm at NY Lace ends. All other consultants from this point on rushed me and did not care to hear what my questions were. All of my friends, family, and co-workers were shocked and terrified every time I said New York Lace and now I know why. Just today when I came in for my first dress fitting only 40 days to my wedding with my mom behind me to get fitted for her outfit, the owner rudely announced she would not alter my mom's outfit due to the comment she left on this site about her poor encounter there (see the review prior to mine). I had not even reached the counter when she rudely announced this, and continued to throw a printed out version of my mother's review in my face, as if I a paying and faithful customer cares to see any bad review of her store and am responsible for my mother's freedom of speech which mind you is only a sequence of events. The unbelieable unprofessional, uncaring, lack of a grown business woman's attempt to even try to exhibit an inch of customer service was baffling to me. She was even unapologetic to how she treated me. As if my shock and disbelief were not enough this woman brought me to tears..needless to say my dress, un altered is in my pocession, to be brought to a professional seamstress along with my mother's outfit and helpful consumer resources have been contacted to inform them of the extremly poor and false services provided. My only hope is to help another bride avoid any encounter like this....stay clear.
Pros: Stephanie
Cons: TOO Many to list
