I lived in one of Monahan's apartments for two years. Paul Monahan is a rude, obnoxious, incompetent, and ineffective manager. Since my wife and I have been living in the apartment, our refrigerator broke, our toilet tank stopped working, our windows were painted shut by idiot handy men, the air conditioner filter had never been changed, under the carpet there is a tackless strip in the bathroom doorway that someone could get hurt on if they walked on it with no shoes (these strips are not supposed to be placed in doorways), I was threatened twice to have two cars towed from the parking lot because they did not have plates (one of the cars was in the process of being sold and the other had only been sitting for one day. Paul Monahan took the liberty of placing big orange stickers right on the windows of the cars before calling me. Completely rude and unnecessary). The walls in the apartment are so thin that I can hear the neighbor's phone conversations next door. Coincedentally my wife and I have to wear earphones when we watch TV because we got a notice from the office that our neighbor complained of loud TVs and stereos. They were not being played at excessive volume. About 6 months ago I was in the shower covered with soap and the water unexpectedly shut off. I called Paul Monahan and he first told me to call the town and then he said that he remembered that they were doing work in the building. Nice of him to give notice to the tenants. We recently gave our notice that we are moving. Paul called today and told me that he wanted to bring down a potential tenant to look at the apartment even though we are paid up through August. I told him that I work nights and sleep during the day. He didn't seem to care and said that he would be by at 11 the following day. He kept telling me that he had the legal right to do that with 24 hours notice. He came into the apartment a few hours after I spoke with him and showed it to the tenant while I pretended to sleep.
Pros: None whatsoever
Cons: The list is endless.
