We went to Raffi's last night after seeing a movie in Glendale. Many people had recommended this place and it is the time of year to enjoy outdoor dining. It seemed promising, many tables were filled, the waiters were hopping and we were seated promptly. While the menu states that it is Armenian and Persian cuisine, I did not find much in the way of Iranian dishes. The greens and onion served at the start was nice. A saucer of hummus for $5 seemed a bit high. An appetizer platter could add to the menu. The kabob plates were large portions and a fair value for the price ($16). As the steak is thin, it is difficult to have the seak cooked to order. The rice was quite boring. Service was less that expected. Requests for drinks needed to be made twice. We had to wave at the waiter more than once to obtain his attention. But the biggest drawback was that the food was uniformly unremarkable. There are many other more interesting restaurants to try.
Pros: Patio dining, child friendly
Cons: Unremarkable food, can be loud, inattentive service
