I have visited many tanning salons in the greater Seattle area. I do not enjoy sales pressure to buy confusing packages...that is one thing that will turn me away from a salon. Desert Sun has the worst sales pressure and I would never go back. When you work on commission...try not to make it so obvious! That's the key. At least try to act like you're being helpful. Anyway, that's another story. I like Seattle Sun Tan although I agree that the pricing is VERY confusing and the people at the front desk don't do a good job explaining it. I am not sure why you have to pay for a membership fee on top of a regular tanning package. The membership cannot be cancelled earlier than 3 months. So you're not really saving any money on tanning packages since you have to pay for the membership fee on top of your package. I think they make it confusing on purpose so you just sign up and don't read the fine print. I do like the fact that they have nice new beds. The regular beds have a special feature that tans your face...I like that. The high pressure beds are cool...you kind of feel like you're floating in space. Overall I think it's a decent salon...but I am not sure I want to pay for an ongoing membership. I may keep buying packages without the membership. As far as the staff goes...they all seem nice enough. No one has been rude to me and I have never had to wait to get into a bed.
Pros: Nice new beds, no wait, decent prices
Cons: Confusing pricing, membership fee
