I've spent a lot of time living and working in Italy, where I came to love Italian ice cream and espresso. You cannot imagine my joy when I discovered Cafe Gelato here in Winston-Salem. It's the real thing! The ice cream is delicious and melts in your mouth without leaving a dulling after-taste (unlike most American commercial ice cream). The espresso is smooth and full-bodied and Ciska, the kind and friendly owner, takes care to heat the cup and spoon so the espresso stays hot.
Pros: Delicious product. Delightful owner. Cute ambience.
Cons: Parking is awkward.
