I have a 96 Dodge pick up truck and it started jumping in and out of gear and making an awful grinding noise then broke down and I was stuck on the side of the road. I walked to the gas station on the corner and asked for the phone book, called Transmission Corporation of America to find out what it would cost for a new transmission. James answered the phone and told me most of the time it is less expensive to repair the transmission rather than replace the whole thing. When I told him I was stuck on the side of the road he said he has free towing with repairs and he could have a driver there in just a few minutes and then when the truck got here he would do a free check and also a free computer scan. I was so releived when the tow guy pulled up and took me and my truck to his shop on Clinton Hwy. James was very informative and his technicians were great. They did a computer scan on the truck and said they could give me a ride home while they finished checking it and he'd call me before they did any repairs to let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it.A few hours later James called and they knew exactly what was wrong and he told me how much it would be. They fixed the truck after I gave my permission for them to do so and called me when it was ready. I didn't have a ride to pick it up so he had the young lady that worked there come back to my house to give me a ride in to get the truck. The price was very reasonable and the customer service was excellent. I even got a nation wide warranty for the work they did. They did a great job and now it shifts better than it did when I first bought it. I am so pleased!! James called me the next day to make sure I was happy with the work. I told him I had never had a repair shop call me after I had paid and picked up my vehicle. He said they call every customer to make sure they're happy and everything is ok with the work they did.
Pros: great customer service and great workmanship
