We stopped into Casey?s one Sunday afternoon for some oysters (in season). After being seated a waitress final showed after 5-10 minutes. We then ordered a dozen on the half shell only to be told they didn?t have any. So we settled for a fried appetizer combo and some boiled shrimp, with a couple of beers. The boiled shrimp must have been cooked a day or two before and sat in water until they were served. They were mushy and tasteless; if you put enough horseradish in the cocktail sauce and used a healthy amount, the shrimp were semi-edible. The fried items were extremely greasy and apparently the grease was quite old. The most redeeming value was the cold beer. We walked away leaving the majority of the fried items and half the shrimp; but only after a $48.00 tab was paid.\r

I recommend you stop in Kemah or Bay Cliff for seafood on the way down to Galveston, and spend your Galveston restaurant dollars on Pizza at Mario?s or brunch at The Galvez.
