Ojiya is a real Japanese izakaya. It's probably not the best izakaya I've been to, but finding one in Hacienda Heights -- and a pretty good one at that is a gem. I decided to check it out last night for dinner. They're located in a large strip mall so there's plenty of parking. The menu is pretty extensive including all the standard small dishes, but also sushi & noodles as well. But, there's a really really huge selection of other things for those of you who are less adventurous. Our server just kept them coming, and not a single dish disappointed. That along with a few beers, some sake, more shochu , and some good friends, and you're ready for a good time.
Pros: Tasty Eats. Quality dishes. Easy Parking. Authentic Japanese.
Cons: Service was a little slow, but I suspect because they had just opened. It looked like they were hiring
