I first met Susan when she was hired by my husband's parents to photograph the whole extended family. She did a fantatsic job gettting 21 people 8 of which were kids - 4 under 4 to look happy and natural. That was at the beach and it is still a great portrait - we all love it. I have it on my wall. She was great at arranging eveyone and listening to what everyone wanted and then creating a unique portrait. She also photographed all the individual family's which was really nice. It was a fun and relaxing experience. The I got a postcard about a park portrait special during the holidays. My kids had changed lot in the last two years -so I thought I would be good to take advantage of the special and get an updated portrait. This time is was just my family and the boys. Susan and her assistant spent alot of time with me going over the best color and styles of clothes to wear. That really helped out alot. For my husband and I's engagement portrait -the photographer (not her) gave us no clue about what to wear and it was a disaster! It really is important to plan for this part of the portrait and if your photographer doesn't help you - they probably are not the right photographer for you. Anyway she really had great suggestions and was always patient with questions. The quality of the final portraits has been superb. The best quality portraits I have ever got. In this case you get what you pay for. I reccomend her to everyone I know.
