I decided to try this salon out because it is close to my work and home. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner. He promptly sent me back to the shampoo girl, who took a good long time to shampoo my hair. When I was seated in the chair, the owner asked me what I wanted done. I explained, and he listened. He seemed very skilled with the haircut, and I was happy with that part of my visit. When it was time to blowdry my hair, things seemed a little strange. I am used to a stylist blowdrying my hair and using a brush to smooth it out/straighten it. The stylist/owner started to blowdry my hair and kept rubbing my hair very roughly with his hands. When it was finally dry (relief!) they put my hair up in hot rollers. The end result was satisfactory. I thought the service was excellent, the cut was good. I am still on the fence as to whether or not I will return. I just felt I was handled a little less gently than I liked during the blowdry. I will have to wash my hair and examine the cut-if it is really good, I will probably return. I would recommend going for a shampoo/cut, and doing the styling at home. That way you can save some $ and avoid the brutal blowdry....
Pros: Good haircut, good service
Cons: Rought handling during the syling process
