I highly recommend Crave, especially for a special occasion. My wife and I went there for our anniversary during a weekday evening. Although it is a bit out of the way in Carroll Gardens, it is well worth the trip. It is a small, very friendly atmosphere, and very good for an intimate dining experience. We received very individualized service from Marco, one of the owners and chefs. We ordered the 4 course tasting menu, which was definitely enough food and offers a good variety. The chef chose our food, but Marco made sure to ask us what kinds of foods we did not like. We started with 2 complimentary small portions of soup, wild mushroom and pumpkin chicken I think. Both were very tasty. We the saku tuna salad, which was incredible and probably the best thing we had during the meal. For an entre we had the ancho chili duck, which was succulent, and also the snapper, which was also good. The dessert was a combination of desserts from their menu, which again is great for getting a variety of favors. They even wrote Happy Anniversary on our dessert plate. The whole experience was very memorable. We definitely plan to go back, especially since they now have a $25 tasting menu.
