I went for the first time this weekend, with very high hopes -- I adored 5 Dudley, and love La Botte and Piccolo -- and I was expecting the same quality here. Unfortunately, every aspect of the evening was average, uninspired, and lacking in one way or another. The food was okay, but certainly not worth $100 a person; the wine list was average, and the service was only so-so. I'm not sure if I went on a bad night, or if this restaurant just isn't living up to its pedigree. \r

I ordered scallops with black truffles to start (really, how do you go wrong there?) and it was tasteless and bland. For my entree I ordered skate wing with slipper lobster and vegetables (again -- sounded great). But both dishes were underseasoned, and nothing remarkable. Also, midway through our meal our waiter moved us to a different table to seat a large party (when the back patio was literally 2/3 empty). Not a huge deal, but tacky. With so many great restaurants around here, I'd say avoid this one.
