On May I stumbled into Dr. Zaniewski-Singh's office using a cane to keep myself from falling. Earlier in the week, I had purchased a walker. I was ""drunk and crazy"" more often than not, and had trouble finishing a sentence. My legs were horribly swollen. I had been to a cardiologist, and apparently had no circulation problems. Dr. Z had me take glucose readings at specific times for week. On May 16, I came back with the data, and she prescribed a medicine that contains an hormone that makes insulin work. AFTER ONE INJECTION IT FELT LIKE SOMEONE HAD FLIPPED ON A LIGHT SWITCH IN MY HEAD!!!!!! After a couple of weeks of steadily gaining strength, she also did a thyroid biopsy and now I have been taking a replacement for that hormone also. I have a long way to go to gain my strength back, BUT I'M GETTING STRONGER EVERY DAY!!!!!
Pros: She knows her business.
