Our family and friends have been coming to Carmelitas for over 20 years and it is our favorite. The staff are always friendly and helpful, no matter how busy they are. The food is always excellent (our top favorites are the chicken chimichanga and the avacado tacos for the veg-heads) and usually on your table before you can drink even half of their dangerously good margaritas! If you go to Carmelitas on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure you get a table on the patio, they usually have a Mariachi band that just makes it feel as if you've been transported to Mexico for the night! Looking for a fun and inexpensive mexican restaurant?....Carmelitas is the place!
Pros: Ambience, food, prices, and service.
Cons: Parking can get pretty ugly and on the weekends, so can the wait.
