Taking advantage of women... 5/6/2007

I purchased a 3 pc living room set after visiting the store twice. This set included a sofa, loveseat, and a chaise with accent pillows.I asked the salesman for measurements and we sat on the furniture and discussed it. I asked him if the accent pillows came with it. He asked me if I wanted the pillows already with the set. I said yes - not realizing that he meant the exact pillows we and everybody else sat on in the store. I also asked him how long it would take for the furniture to come in...he told me that he had everything in inventory. The only reason I wanted the set was because of the chaise.\r If that is the case, why did they send me the floor model set with a defective chaise that they didn't tell me about until after I noticed something wrong with the chaise and called to ask about it. I was not notified that they were sending me a defective chaise and I was sent the floor model furniture and not a brand new set in which I paid cash for. The salesman didn't tell me that the floor model was the only set left and he didn't discount anything. I went to the store and they refunded my money back for the chasie. However, since I only wanted the set because of the chaise I have contacted the bureau to handle this situation. They can have the furniture back. I want my money back so I can go to another furniture store to receive better customer service and one who doesn't try to take advantage of women. Be careful if your furniture does not get delivered in plastic from this store. You may think you are paying for brand new furniture and end up paying for something else. more
