Wanted: More Space, Quieter Atmosphere, Caring Mgt 5/5/2007

The owner's cares about getting every dollar per square inch for their restaurant. My party of six was seated in the small room at the top of the stairs. The problem is they squeezed our table in the middle of the 10 tables in the room. This means a room the size of a large dining room seated over 30 people. Conversation quickly became difficult as other parties were seated in this room. \r \r This room is loud and cramped for the patrons seated, when the wait staff shuffles in and out sevaral people in our group were elboed and banged by serving trays being carried overhead. The patrons seated by the service entrance to this room sufferred the most.\r \r We sat down for what we expected to be an upscale dinner, in an upscale atmosphere, as was reflected by the upscale prices in the menu. While the food was good, The a la carte upscale priced menu does not reflect the ambience or professionalism of the management that decided to squeeze so many tables in a small space, or the less than graceful wait staff carrying on their craft in this three ring circus.\r \r Management was unsympathetic to the fact that the room is overoccupied.\r \r With a good kitchen and the great architecture of the location, I am amazed that the faults found with this place could be easily corrected.\r \r \r While the food is good, Apex deserved better. more
