Although, like most NY restaurants, the tables are packed a bit tight, the food and service more than make up for it. The hostess and servers are all extremely nice and informative. The menu has all the Indian mainstays, plus some extras not found at typical NY Indian restaurants. The menu is well-written, with full descriptions of each dish. The slightly higher-than-usual price is well justified by the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the romantic atmosphere. Try the malabar fish masala and the onion kulcha.
Pros: Excellent food, romantic atmosphere, friendly, professional service
Cons: tables are a bit close together
