Thai Bao uses fresh ingredients. The bun (noodle) bowls are exceptional, and the spring rolls are as good as you can find. I have not eaten some of the more exotic dishes like fishballs and goat, but I can speak for the more mainstream orders, and they are great! The pho is very good, though I prefer more meatballs, so ask for ""extra."" The wine selection is nil, but hey have the standard American and Japanese beers. I eat here once or twice a week and I find myself craving it every day.
Pros: delicious, fresh ingredients, inexpensive
Cons: seedy location, mediocre ambiance, slow service
