In my opinion Hector's is one of the best finds in Kirkland. Many of you may remember this as a greasy spoon known for stiff drinks. A little on the wild side. Not to say it wasn't a great time, but things have changed since then. About three years ago the owner changed and so did some of the dynamics of the place. This place is no longer a greasy spoon. Although they did maintain the idea of serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the quality of the food changed drastically. You can order anything from a crab cake benedict for breakfast to a French Dip for lunch to a fillet at dinner. Oh, but you can also stay in a moderate price range by ordering a burger for dinner too. They also have a good selection of appetizers and bar food. I think the macaroni and cheese is a delicious appetizer, that is made from scratch and the nachos are one of the best I have found. If you are feeling a little more on the healthy side, indulge yourself in some tasty Ahi.
Pros: ambience, service, food
Cons: Kirkland parking
