I've been doing martial arts for 4 years, and I have both seen and heard the horror stories about overzealous instructors, useless techniques and too much emphasis on looking pretty over learning practical skills. I'm an 'older' student (let's just say over 35!) and a not-so-big woman, so I also have to be particularly careful to train without getting hurt. Fearless Fitness has been great. They focus on practical techniques and building overall fitness. They take a personal interest in the training of each student and accommodate injuries well. I really look forward to each class I go to there. It's a fun group, and the classes seem to be over way too fast.
