It's a shame, Food is delicious, but the portions are insulting as well as the service. I've never seen a staff talked down to more in any other establishment. Amazingly enough, I too had the experience of witnessing the sushi chef tell the customer how to order so they don't confuse the waiter. I just found another great place in Rutherford for sushi which is by far, one of the best local places I've been to. And you won't get yelled at for wanting to sit at the sushi bar. Sorry Daruma - bad attitudes, bad service - cancels out the talent in the kitchen.
