Gindi means to eat well and they mean it. 5/23/2007

My Thai friend told me about the meaning of the name Gindi Thai, which by the way means to eat well, when he brought me to this serene and clean Thai-sushi place. It's not a Zen decor nor they try to be. The interior is casual, fun and lively. I said to myself that I have to find out what they put in the staffs' food or drink that make them smile all the time ;) I found the answer after I tried the first bites of its special fantastic bites. It's a lettuce wrap with roasted coconut, cashew nuts, shrimp, lime skin and other stuffs which I don't remember but it's really good. Each bite brings a new flavor to my palate, wow so fantastic. I also tried Pad Thai, a basic dish but very flavorful. The noodle was cooked to the right tenderness not too soft and not too hard. The dessert of mango and sticky rice was heavenly. I am in love with this place and I sure will go back many times again. more
