Losing Faith 5/3/2007

A couple of years ago, I would have given this physician a top rating based on professionalism, knowledge, ability to listen, reputation in the medical community, personal recommendations, and the fact that year after she made it into the Top Doctors listings (a national list based on the opinions of other physicians). This past year, however, she fell off the list. Couple that with a new office policy (all the doctors in the office follow it) of charging patients $5 for a written prescription if not obtained while in her office for an annual physical and a hesitancy with assisting me in my application for needed disability benefits, I would have to knock her rating down a few pegs. If you don't mind being charged for your needed prescriptions and don't expect help with disability issues, I'd say she is a good choice. For me, though, a patient of hers for more than 15 years, I think I will start shopping around for a different doc. Pros: Knowledge, good reputation. Cons: Office policies that are not patient-centered. Parking in Blodgett ramp is a pain. more
