My girlfriends and I went to Petros on a Saturday night around 9:30 pm for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the place was pretty busy. My girlfriend, who has been to this restaurant before, mentioned that they have a very delicious garlic/bean dip that they serve with bread. I have a very restricted diet due to many stomach issues so I cannot eat bread. I still wanted to have the dip, so my girlfriend asked if we could have some carrots to eat with the dip instead of bread. We were then told that we would be charged extra for the very small plate of carrot sticks that were served to us. I didn?t find this to be very accommodating or customer service oriented. The Petros salad was a little misleading. The waitress said that it was big enough for 3 people, but it was not. It did not have any greens, just tomatoes, avocado, cucumbers and onions (not very impressive). My girlfriends had the moussaka dish, which was okay. It had ground beef and potatoes, but had the taste of lamb (maybe it was the seasoning). My girlfriend felt sick the next morning. The service I would have to say was not very good or attentive. The waiters and waitresses seem to be concerned about themselves and not their customers (maybe the good reviews they have received have gone to their heads and don't feel the need to care anymore). My girlfriend waited for us at the bar and it took about 5 minutes for her existence to be acknowledged (the bar was quite empty at the time, so it wasn?t due to the fact that it was super busy). On a positive note the owner, Petros, was very nice and personable to everyone at his restaurant. He needs to have a talk with his staff.
