My husband and I have been waiting in anticipation for the results of the best pizza in Dallas to be published. I am a transplanted New Yorker, Texan by marriage and we have definite opinions about pizza. Our usual is Pizza Guy on Preston in N. Dallas, but have been known to drive to Austin to pick up a couple of pans from Conan's when the mood strikes us. We live across the street from Pastazio's and even with all the hype, we aren't impressed. Campisi's and I Fratelli pizza we like - the italian food is good too. And finally, out of the other ""Top-Rated"" pizza places in Dallas, that we've been too, Fireside Pies was overpriced and undercooked when we went to the Plano location. To us, the sauce is the most important aspect of a pie, with the crust running a close second, so based on all of that information we know what we are looking for and this place AIN'T IT!. Angelo's is bland, bland, bland! There is nothing special about this pizza. Nothing. You would do better going to Walmart and buying a DiGiorno.
Pros: uhm... trying to think of one
Cons: overpriced for what you get, not enough parking, staff wait on friends first
