To begin the night a group of friends decided to try a new restaurant, we decided to try Cafe Istanbul. After getting a table and ordering our food eventually came out, all but one meal. We decided to wait until the last person was served, which took almost 20 minutes. I had very politely asked the waiter if I could speak with the manager. At the very least I wanted to recieve and apology, the waiter returned and stated that the late meal would be taken off of the bill, and that the manager was busy in a meeting. After our meal was finished, which also happened to be only mediocre in quality and very poor in portion size, I had once again asked to speak with the manager, and this time I could see the waiter walk over to the bar and speak with a man in a dress shirt. The waiter returned and said that the manager was busy speaking with the bar tender. At this point I was very frustrated. Eventually our bills came, we paid, and walked toward the door. When I walked past the man who I believe to be the manager, he was hitting on a woman drinking at the bar. This is unacceptable in my opinion. The manager avoided a customer by drinking and hitting on a woman at the bar, instead of doing his job. I prefer to eat at restaurants with good service, and I will never go to Cafe Istanbul again.
Cons: Terrible service, manager needs to be fired.
